GoodEats is a production-grade, full-stack e-commerce platform designed to bridge the gap between high-end aesthetic design and robust business functionality. Unlike standard delivery apps that feel like utility spreadsheets, GoodEats offers a narrative-driven user experience.

01Challenge

Challenge

Most independent restaurants face a difficult choice: rely on predatory third-party marketplaces (like DoorDash/UberEats) that strip away their brand identity and charge high commissions, or build a custom website that often ends up being clunky, static, and difficult to manage. Furthermore, on the operational side, communication between the front-of-house (orders coming in) and the back-of-house (the kitchen) is often plagued by delays, leading to errors and cold food.

02Strategy

Strategy

To give restaurants full control over their digital presence, I built a custom platform that blends a luxury customer experience with powerful operational tools. Instead of a generic, static menu, I designed a fluid, app-like storefront that makes ordering food feel premium and engaging on any device. Behind the scenes, I developed a "Mission Control" dashboard that solves the chaos of a busy kitchen. It features a live order board that updates instantly the moment a customer pays, along with simple tools for owners to update menus, track revenue, and manage promotions in real-time. The result is a complete system that allows businesses to own their brand, streamline their kitchen, and increase sales without relying on third-party marketplaces.

12Outcome

Objective

Prove that ordering food online can feel like hospitality — not a transaction — without sacrificing the speed and clarity users expect from a modern delivery experience.

Hypothesis

If the ordering interface carries the same weight as the dining experience, users will return more often, tip higher, and associate the restaurant with the brand rather than the platform.

Expected Impact

Higher repeat order rate, stronger brand affinity, and reduced reliance on third-party marketplaces that strip identity and charge high commissions.
